Balancing Family and Career - The Right Way

I started my career in IT with a simple mindset: work hard and build something meaningful. For years, I pushed forward relentlessly, focused on growth, performance, and achieving successful outcomes in IT projects.

For a long time, I was all-in on my career. I worked hard - really hard - and stayed completely focused on progressing in IT. It became second nature to keep pushing forward, always aiming for the next step.

The problem was, I didn’t know how to switch off.

Work took over, and while I was achieving things on paper, it wasn’t much fun. Something felt off.

So I made a change.

I took the time to assess what actually mattered and made a conscious decision to bring balance into my life. Giving both my family and my career the attention they deserved.

That’s when everything started to improve.

Not only did life feel better, but my work became more impactful. I found myself doing more meaningful projects, enjoying the process again, and even bringing more money into the household.

Now, my approach to IT is different.

It’s about building something sustainable, valuable, and aligned — not just working harder for the sake of it.
